Notorious, Berlin based german DJ and vinyl nerd BeatPete began DJing and collecting a decade ago, and to this day, he’s remained dedicated to wax. His crates include hip hop, instrumental hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, library music… all of which get spun on the regular.
On his YouTube channel, BeatPete drops his Vinyl Sessions presented by HHV.DE, twice monthly, featuring his latest pick ups alongside some older gems. For about 2 years now, BeatPete has been putting on the Backyard Joints: a party focusing on new and old underground hip hop, the arts of beat making as well as a healthy dose of jazz and funk. The event gives Beatmakers from all over a platform to present their craft at Panke in Berlin, whilst BeatPete himself has taken his crate all over Germany, across the border to Paris, Barcelona, Pila, Vienna and festivals like the Dooinit Festival as well as the Splash Festival.
