REP: This is a wave from the land of rising sunBio
Based in Tokyo for the past 10 years, Alixkun started his DJ career back in 2004. Originally spinning deep house and techno, his move to Japan in 2008 opened new horizons for him. First, he has co-founded Jazzy Couscous, a club music focused label that has been recognized for putting out projects like “House…Once upon a time in Japan”, the x3LP compilation focused on the underground Japanese house scene back in 2015, or the limited crossover EP project Terada x Brawther, now highly sought after. 2018 has marked another milestone for Alixkun, as he has collaborated with HMV to put out “Kumo no Muko”, a x2LP project he has curated and that is focused on 80s Japan ambient and synth-pop sounds. Alixkun is a digger at heart, and he has excavated several Japanese gems that have met success back in Europe over the past few years. You can expect a true musical voyage across Japan, ranging from the deepest balearic to the funkiest boogie vibe.
